my fav “The Thing” theory is that Mac was still human and put kerosene in J.B.’s bottle so when Childs took a sip and didn’t react, MacReady knew he was the Thing. and the fact that MacReady still has that gleam in his eyes while Childs’ eyes are completely black?? such an insanely good movie

I don’t know what is going on but that ‘not cute’ Jerry looks a lot like that dog scene in The Thing which means some of those Jerry’s are not human. I don’t even think MacReady knows which is which.
