Common winter damselfly, one of the very few insects we saw in a marshy area near 's Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Bruine winterjuffer, een van de weinige vliegende insecten die wij zagen in een moerasachtig gebied: verontrustend.

This #mushroom is known to kick up quite the stink.

On damp autumnal days the sulphurous smell of this #fungus means you often smell it before you see it.

A wonderful emerging Fly Agaric #toadstool

This fungus is both Psychoactive 🫨 and Poisonous 💀🤮 so consuming is not recommended.

That being said it was historically used in rituals.

Check out this Wrap-around spider I found shooting at one of my local shops tonight. Wrap-arounds disguise themselves by flattening their bodies against twigs or small branches #BugSky #MacroAddicts

Some of the neighbourhood locals - if you're a fellow Australian why not pop outside this evening, find the nearest smooth-skinned gum tree and see if you can find some tiny friends #leafhoppers #treehoppers #planthoppers #BugSky #macroaddicts #australianinsects
