Mipel, il principale evento fieristico internazionale dedicato a pelletteria e accessori moda, si apre oggi, 13 settembre, fino al 15 settembre 2026 presso il Padiglione 5 della Fiera di Milano Rho con la sua 130ª edizione. Promossa e organizzata da Assopellettieri, con il supporto del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale (Maeci) e dell'ICE - Agenzia, patrocinata dal Comune di Milano e con il contributo di Regione Lombardia, la manifestazione si conferma una piattaforma globale per il settore, in grado di mettere in relazione brand, acquirenti e operatori internazionali, offrendo un aggiornamento costante sulle tendenze e le evoluzioni nel campo della pelletteria e degli accessori moda.

Il primo incontro ha riguardato l’impegno dell'Italia per una filiera del caffè più sostenibile e resiliente, focalizzandosi sulla formazione e sulle opportunità per le nuove generazioni. Il panel ha visto la partecipazione di rappresentanti delle istituzioni e del settore del caffè provenienti da Etiopia, Tanzania e Kenya, insieme a UNIDO, E4Impact e membri del settore privato italiano. Durante il panel sul cacao è stata introdotta Cacao Connect, un'iniziativa italiana promossa dal MAECI, concepita per integrare diplomazia, cooperazione allo sviluppo, competenze industriali e ricerca, stabilendo una piattaforma di collaborazione comune con i paesi produttori.

The 2026 edition carried particular significance, coinciding with three major commemorations: the eightieth anniversary of the Fulbright Program itself, the two hundred fiftieth anniversary of the United States of America, and the eightieth anniversary of the Italian Republic. The Fulbright Commission was inaugurated in 1948 with the explicit objective of promoting peace through cultural exchanges between Italy and the United States. Operating as a binational program financed jointly by Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the United States Department of State, the Commission allocates scholarships designed to encourage study, research and teaching in both nations.
