The big fellow is back from the groomers - complete baby hiding behind me, then a teddy bear after I left. I love how his giant paws are so well defined by a trim - not the Dr Seuss furry flippers they will be once more in a week’s time.

I had an Alaskan Malmute, which is just a big version of a husky, that loved to sit on my lap like Iris does at the end here. They're amazing cuddlers! ❤️🐾

My Havanese built for Cuban sun doesn't fare too well in northern winters without layers. My wolf/malmute wouldn't come inside at -40. Depends on the type of fur/ hair they have. (Agree that Dumpling looks pretty insulated though.)

She is not, though she has gradually learned to accept our bomb-proof husky/malmute mix.
I am aware that stressed dogs often do not perform in evaluations in a way that gives a dependable view into their temperaments.
Still I was not prepared for her active dog-dog aggression.

There is a difference between a husky and a malmute. The prefix mal means bad, and so malmute simply means bad at being mute. I still view huskies as malmutes. Good luck.
