Ruby Sales, who Daniels saved, went on to get degrees at Tuskegee Institute, Manhattanville College, and Princeton University. She's still alive

Daniels' murderer, who killed Daniels and wounded another activist (a Catholic priest), was never convicted and died peacefully in his late 80s
Yesterday was the 60th anniversary of a brave man dying for what was right. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonatha...

Janno Lieber didn't give any timeline specifics for this study of extending the Second Avenue Subway when I asked him about it at the recent CityLaw Breakfast, but he did mention they're also considering tunneling all the way to a new Hudson Line station in Manhattanville 👀
Has anyone heard of any updates on the feasibility study to extend Second Avenue Subway westward along 125th St in Harlem to Broadway?

$16 million was budgeted for it in the last state budget, but I hope process for a simple study of this good idea isn't dragged out for years.

You want to bend the knee for the fascists? Even after the eminent domain giveaway in Manhattanville? And your illegal blocking off of the street grid at 116th St.? And your citywide tax breaks? GTFO. You can pay us too, you fascist slumlords.

We at Columbia still do not know what happened. Were these federal agents who refused to identify themselves? Imposters?

Apropos of the earlier conversation about the unpleasantness of the potential 125th St subway-elevated transfer, the elevated station does need an enclosure...how about taking inspiration from Chicago? You can call it 125th-Manhattanville-Columbia ;-)

You can see how engaged she was, even at that age.

Columbia, a slum lord in NYC that has abused the hell out of eminent domain to take over Manhattanville, should have its NYS tax breaks rescinded. NYU is a leech on the village. Having to defend these places deeply sucks.
