The minorities and marginalised are fighting back and they are winning

Let’s take note. If it can happen in America (God’s own bigoted country) it can happen anywhere
My sister Joanna Whaley will be Michigan's first openly trans state legislator by a massive landslide. I'm so proud of you @joannawhaley.bsky.social 🎉💜

Turek is voting for some Republicans but bluemaga shіtlіbs are only scolding marginalised people for not voting for politicians who denigrate them.

White cishet billionaire butts her way into marginalised community, more at 5.

Fascinating that here is a democratic representative voting against democrats over the trans issue and you still have fucking more venom for the marginalised than you do the person with more approximate power

Beat for beat the same as their approach to trans people and every other marginalised group?

Yep.

Where’s the “did it ever work for them?” meme?
The reaction to Shabana Mahmood's immigration 'reforms' shows exactly why this is such a dead-end for a Labour government. Lambasted by the right-wing press, hated by the left and ruinous for all those people actually affected by them. Pleasing nobody, whilst making everything worse

Funny how her case was front page news, several times, yet isn't now???

Wow its almost like institutional bigotry against a marginalised group

I’m at this today. Speaking this afternoon about engagement work @themerl.bsky.social. Thinking about marginalised rural people and farmer voices. Drawing on urgent issues raised by @herdyshepherd.bsky.social and others.

Also, it's not safe for many people to use their real names. Enforcing such a move would serve to silence many of the marginalised and those in danger.

“Which marginalised group should I call for blood of?”
November 5, 2026 at 1:39 PM
This is a whole thing in British politics and once you first see it it is painfully hard to unsee:

1) marginalised group's rights become controversial or expensive

2) government restricts them to appease bigots or save money

3) government insists we never deserved them in the first place

At this point, indie publishing as a whole has a duty to warn authors--especially new or marginalised ones--about the Bells' (who own Atthis Arts) predatory behaviour.

Americans are electing members of demographics - or their supporters - marginalised and hunted down by the Trump administration.

France, you’re next.

Using this moment to punch down on marginalised communities trying to live their life is not the most caring or progressive way to celebrate this moment. I am frankly disappointed.

The sad thing about liberal harm reduction is that, today, you're part of the marginalised group that threw another marginalised group under the bus for some privileges in capitalist and white supremacist systems, and then tomorrow, you're part of the marginalised group getting thrown under the bus.

We are not opposed to violence in defense of our rights. Its unsanctioned violence against marginalised people we oppose

Brunch is off the menu. You want to stop the negativity, put your body on the line next to ours and support marginalised peoples
November 5, 2026 at 2:43 PM
And it will take a bunch of cis people getting caught up in this for the lesson to sink in that fascism doesn't stop with one marginalised group...if it ever does

The best part of this win for me, aside from the Republicans being marginalised, is the number of cool names being elected.

Knickerbocker
Colom
Lance-Bottoms

Hope is real.
