My gut is they plan to mine DS9 in depth for a future set, sort of like how they are putting so few X-Men characters in the Marvel sets.

It does bug me that Vision can't be himself among other people like himself, so they all use human avatars, but I am willing to accept the conceit for the sake of the production budget and being able to relate to them all.

This is why I don't agree with a reason that Marvel wouldn't undo OMD, simple because they wouldn't make 20 years of stories cannon again, cause not only it didn't stop them erasing those stories when they did it, but also, Spider-Man continuity is already a mess anyway.

Like it's not even like DC crisis or New 52, when it's a full on continuity reboot and past stories are simple a different cannon. This is supposed to be the mainline marvel universe, and those stories are still suppose to be cannon, except we are supposed to pretend they weren't married at the time
