I still do lineart, so for some time not much to share but same update now and then.
Today I did the one hand in my style (for funsies) because I can't just pass up the opportunity of a hand with a glove. (I really enjoy drawing in the seems QAQ)

Then I filled the hands with the BG color so that I can see the state of my study without the overlapping lines confusing me brain. And that's how it currently looks.

I first do it in solid brown and then later I try to color it.
Even though I use the same brush it's hard to copy the existing lineart XD But so far I am at least doing a somewhat ok job :3
For copying the lineart I turned the reference picture black and white.

I finished the first lining! I may will change the thickness of the hair again. I colored them in reddish tones for now since the whole lineart has this underlying warm glow, which makes me guess that red/orange are the most common undertones here.

Todays session of #masterpasta
was really interesting. I have three stages of the one hand. And at each stage the sketch I had felt "right". But whenever I got to another stage and looked at the stage before it looked wobbly and off. Which gives me a mixed feeling.

I tried it another time to get the forms better. Getting closer to pasta's style. But I think it is even further away the anatomy is wonky as well. And it shows that I tired out xD

this took all my energy today.
Coloring is much much harder for me than the other parts. Shading is something I really struggle. And coyping here seems almost impossible. I swear I made the color swatches really on point. But it still looks off XD And I hate it XD

I did NOT colorpick the OG since otherwhise I would have lost a great opportunity.
Instead I guessed the color. Drew over the OG at the corresponding place and adjusted the colors until it matched.
It was not always easy to see if it was off because of hue,value

Now I corrected the fingers, without the trace or my other sketches visible. I usually copy the layer and lower the opacity from the copy. Then I erase in the of layer (and see where I had draw before). The red marker have their own layer.

#Masterpasta makes me use a brush that differs not only with pressure but with the tilt of the brush (which is pretty nice because it behaves like a real pencil) for the very first time.
I am not used to use a pencil in that way either so I am fumbling a lot XD
