Last Natsume week post, for the prompt 10 years later. Featuring this silly AUish idea I have of Natori and Matoba not talking to each other for 10 years only to reunite after their kids coincidentally become besties

A short Natsuyuu comic about Natori and Matoba 10 years in the future. Natori and Matoba's kids (both girls) are playing on the swings while Natori and Matoba watch. Matoba remarks that it he hadn't expected to run into him after over 10 years due to their kids being friends, saying that they'd only found out because his ex wife asked him to pick up his kid from Natori's place. The comic continued. Matoba then asks Natori how Natsume is doing, and Natori says he's fine, but that he still has an active restraining order against Matoba. Matoba looks embarrassed and apologises for 'that incident'.

Natsume Week, day 3: Unknown

#natsumeyuujinchou #matobaseiji
A digital illustration by Sateessa featuring Matoba Seiji from Natsume's Book of Friends. Matoba is standing in the middle of the image, holding a paper umbrella. The top half of his face is hidden by the umbrella, and a slight smile can be seen on his face. The palette of the illustration is black, brown and red colors, with some red light in the background and red rim light on the character and the bottom part of the umbrella. There seems to be some wind blowing, and there are fire-colored momiji leaves flying around the character.

You're a mean one, Mr. Matoba 😈

(Hey, I actually remembered to post this for once!)

A redraw of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" book cover, but with Matoba Seiji from Natsume Yuujinchou as the Grinch. He's hunched over in a sneaky pose, carrying a christmas tree, and staring at the viewer with an evil grin. Around him, two of his shikigami are poking their heads into frame, one from each side, and they have an antler on their heads. In the same font as the book cover is the title "How Matoba Stole Christmas".

Matoba Seiji

I wanted to make a watercolor out of this but, well it escalated quickly and before I knew I already tryed to put some values. I really like the light on the finished piece. And spoiler alert, I might draw him again soon.

[Natsuyuu manga spoilers]

Last Natsume week prompt, for role reversal! Ever since I saw Matoba say his Kuromisa persona isn't always played by him I knew I had to draw Natori playing her, he would have the time of his life

#natsumeyuujinchou #matobaseiji #natorishuuichi #natsumesbookoffriends #art
A digital Natsuyuu fan comic about Natori, Matoba and Natsume, based on manga only chapters. The comic is about Matoba in his black misa disguise trying to convince Natsume to attend an auction dressed as Misa as he and his clan members can't attend. However Natori insisted on coming to this meeting as well and finds out about black Misa, to Matoba's annoyance. Natsume tries on the outfit but is clearly uncomfortable, and Matoba remarks that he fits it but might need high heels. Nyanko sensei has turned into a black cat to disguise himself at Matoba's suggestion. Natori protests saying that he won't let Natsume get involved in a shady auction, and offers to play Misa instead. He is shown in the outfit with roses and sparkles around him as he makes a dramatic pose. Natsume looks annoyed while Matoba blushes a little and says he's too recognisable. Natsume disagrees, saying he's "way better at this than me".

Natori and Matoba stand in front of the same fence and loquat trees but as adults. Matoba's eye is hidden behind his mask and Natori's is obscured by his glasses while the lizard tattoo crawls across it. There are two loquats hanging between them, and they both have serious expressions.
