self-published authors, they are the most amazing authors on this planet, and I love stories which don't tick the "genre boxes". The more original, unhinged even, the better.
I call my world the Maximeverse. Maybe that's my genre. 😘

with trauma, grief, a dash of darkness and written in lyrical, poetic prose, 3rd person past, with every POV under the sun and head hopping. Unfiltered, un-watered down, raw as my characters tell me, zero compromise, writing rules and genre expectations. The Maximeverse is just that and more. ❤️‍🔥😘

There are no shredded men in my Xmas anthology. No cheese grater abs, no bulging muscles BUT bulging bellies, body hair, greying hair, wrinkles, crinkles, worn skin, and souls longing for love. Desperate eyes. Broken hearts and minds thirsting to heal.
Coming December 2024. #Maximeverse

Crawford squinted, amused. “I wouldn’t have expected any other answer from you, Hector. Much obliged.” This time, the young man looked at the man behind the counter with blatant surprise. Crawford laughed. “Oh, I see… one is surprised when they hear that name the first time.” Hector smiled, polite. “I suppose it is so, sir.” Crawford turned to the young man. “Hector is used to his name being gawked at. It is still a bit impolite to make that first impression. Especially with your name.” The young man blushed and held his hand out. “I am sorry… I’m Mallory… Mallory Ward.” Daring to look into the warm brown eyes of that dark-haired man, dapper in his uniform. Maybe late thirties, it was hard to tell. Hector took that sweaty hand and shook it, firm. “Pleased to meet you, sir. Welcome.” pics on the right a man's blue eye, a plastic unicorn, a hanging plant. On the left, a man's brown eye, a Concierge sign in gold, a room with bookshelves framing a fireplace and a Tv above it, Xmas tree on the right.
