Bandits in Kaduna State abandoned a kidnapped couple and fled after a fierce gun battle with Nigerian troops in Sanga Local Government Area. The incident, which occurred on Friday, September 11, 2026, around 12:30am, saw security forces from Operation ENDURING PEACE (OPEP) successfully rescuing Hassan Isah and his wife, Juliana Hassan, who were abducted in Ateli village. Troops stationed at Mayir Garrison, supported by local vigilantes, swiftly responded to the abduction report and launched a pursuit of the kidnappers.
