My latest in the MCBC blog, about Sausalito voting down bike lanes on the most-biked road in Marin County.
This past weekend, the Sausalito City Council voted to reject half a million dollars in grant funding earmarked for bike lanes, new crosswalks, and dedicated loading zones.

We are deeply disappointed in this shortsighted decision.

See our full coverage here.

I'd like everyone to know that I have completed my magnum opus.

I've mapped every existing and planned all-ages-and-abilities bikeway in Marin County, and made planning-level recommendation to fill all the remaining gaps to get us to a full countywide bike network.

Just taking a moment to appreciate a critical piece of bike infrastructure that might not have been built without the advocacy of MCBC.

There are always receipts.

This is a comment written by MCBC in 2007 urging Caltrans to put in a Class 1 bike path instead of paint-only bike lanes along with their ~$800M highway widening project.

It was ignored, and this past February I covered the death of a rider who died because of that.

Just wrapped up a little project with our summer policy intern.

It's a map of Marin's fatal bicycle crashes over the past 25 years. Definitely not my favorite part of the job, but an important one.

Made myself one of those cosplay sonas, so here’s “Commander Chrissie”, who represents my love for the MCBC as a whole~

Just like my other wolves, he is a coastal sea wolf.

If you bike in Marin, the Marin Bike Coalition map is fantastic. Many a ride I've been far from home in bright sunshine with zero bars of cell service.

I just wrapped my biggest project at @marinbike.org, our 2050 Marin County Vision Network.

It is our proposal for how Marin can become the most bike-friendly county in the US over the next quarter century.

I put a ton of work into this and I'm very proud of it.
