I took an online class on spinning for consistency with Maggie Casey through MDSW this past weekend & one of the things we did was to examine the variance in yarn we could produce by adjusting only the brake band - same whorl, same number of treadles, same draft, same fiber. 🧶 #yarnsky #spinningyarn

Lots of folks stopped me to talk about my sweater today at Maryland Sheep & Wool… this masterpiece is the End Time Cardigan by Amy Young Gunderson. I chose to use 553 different yarns, but far less would be equally beautiful 😍

So this is the inspiration for the Trajectory Shawl: a shooting star. Specifically, the trail behind the star, at least in cartoon versions, and how where it has been can show where it is going. Thus Trajectory.
