Mind blowing mechanotherapy of aged embryo 🤯👹
See this? This = implanting mouse embryo. Usually this happens inside its mother and is invisible to us, but we can actually watch implantation ex vivo with the hope of understanding why implantation goes awry in embryos of older women. A 🧵...

If #psychedelics are general amplifiers opening critical learning windows, then is the #psychotherapy, #mechanotherapy, movement therapy, art therapy, or other intervention "adjuctive"? Or, is the substance itself the adjunct to these other modalities? In other words, does #psychedelictherapy exist?

Given the high levels of PIEZO1 in patients with early-stage breast cancer, we believe that our findings could be useful in identifying patients at risk of aggressive disease based on PIEZO1 levels and that this signalling axis may be a new mechanotherapy target.

Mechanotherapy and Rehabilitation would be a great start. It's bit chicken and egg since this is about what gets studied in clinical trials, and it's so hard for us to get clinical trials. It's only getting harder with the funding situation nationally.

A Conformal Wearable Ultrasound Bioelectronics for Mechanotherapy Reprogramming of Fibroblast Plasticity via Wnt‐FGF10 Axis to Overcome Fibrotic Healing in Urethral Regeneration
A Conformal Wearable Ultrasound Bioelectronics for Mechanotherapy Reprogramming of Fibroblast Plasticity via Wnt‐FGF10 Axis to Overcome Fibrotic Healing in Urethral Regeneration
Fibrotic scarring persistently challenges urethral reconstruction. This study introduces a conformal, wearable ultrasound bioelectronic system that overcomes this by reprogramming fibroblast fate. The device activates a developmental Wnt–FGF10 axis, driving fibroblasts toward a regenerative FGF10 + phenotype that promotes angiogenesis and matrix remodeling while suppressing collagen deposition, thereby redirecting healing away from fibrosis and toward functional tissue regeneration. ABSTRACT Postoperative fibrotic complications persistently challenge urethral reconstruction due to dysregulated stromal repair and poor graft integration. Conventional rigid ultrasound transducers lack anatomical conformity on dynamic tissues, limiting therapeutic efficacy. Here, we introduce a conformal, wearable low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) bioelectronic system that overcomes these constraints via controlled adhesion printing and liquid metal interconnects. This low-cost (<$20), flexible device ensures stable acoustic coupling and programmable mechanostimulation while maintaining mechanical integrity and biocompatibility under repeated use. In a rabbit model of full-thickness urethral defect, LIPUS significantly improves luminal patency and urinary flow function, promotes angiogenesis and elastic fiber regeneration, while suppressing collagen deposition and pro-inflammatory macrophage infiltration. Integrated multi-omics and single-nucleus RNA sequencing reveal that LIPUS activates the Wnt pathway to drive fibroblast differentiation into a terminally differentiated FGF10 + subset (FB3), which engages in regenerative crosstalk with mural cells via FGF10-FGFR2b signaling and calcium dynamics. Wnt inhibition abrogates this process, confirming mechanistic specificity. This study bridges flexible bioelectronics with deep mechanobiology, providing new insights into how mechanical stimulation can redirect fibroblast fate and override pathological fibrosis, offering a scalable therapeutic framework for fibrotic disorders.

I use this as a part of my set and setting design toolkit and place a 360 speaker under my massage table. As I explore synesthesia and expanded states as well as stimulating interoceptive capacity through mechanotherapy/myofascial bodywork, especially for ND/EDS folx, all this is wild and wonderful.

Recently, healthcare insurers are no longer covering me to use my NPI number & procedure codes for mechanotherapy. They are specifically excluding #massagetherapists, even when we are working within a clearly clinical context, prescribed, and in scope. I can still take the HSA/FSA, but for how long?

Anyway today I go back to mechanotherapy and following that with a regular rehab session, and will be doing that 2 hours at the clinic twice a week, to figure out the strength thing and to go back to paying attention to my OTHER ailments especially the tennis elbow that's back with a vengeance 😬🤪🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

We face this in California. Insuance specifically exclues us from mechanotherapy codes.

My clients can only use HSA now to pay with their benefits. We were declared healthcare only Jan 1, 2026, and this came with almost no other benefits to make our businesses or jobs easier or less stigmatized.

I very much enjoyed this video.

Shearing force (movement/mechanotherapy/myofascial massage) is also a big stimuli of HA secretion, and densification can have many other forms.

This is a ****great*** video to get clients up and moving between sessions.
