tbh I'm predicting the new GitS anime is gonna be super mid but it will get high praise regardless because it's visually styled closer to the original manga than any GitS anime adaptation we've seen (afaik). I might be okay with that thinking for people who've read that manga.

I’ve now watched all five parts of Shifty. I’ve seen every Curtis film and series. This is the weakest yet. No narration, recycled footage, gestures without argument. Even the Curtis method feels like it’s in decline. My full review is up now.
