This goes beyond AI slop.
Fake sites are borrowing the look and credibility of major news brands, filling them with AI-generated promotional content, and apparently selling “guaranteed coverage” to clients.
That is counterfeit journalism.

SaySo’s bet is simple: people want news from creators, but not the chaos of the big social feeds.

A smaller, vetted creator feed could make news feel more human and less overwhelming.

But curation is power.

AI chatbots are becoming news intermediaries. That makes sourcing a public-interest issue.

A chatbot that points users to reliable journalism is better than one that mixes reporting with propaganda and AI slop.

AI labels in journalism need to be clear, specific, and honest.

Readers don’t just want to know that AI was used. They want to know what AI did, what humans did, and whether a journalist reviewed the work.

Good reporting depends on trust, context, community, and long-term relationships — the very things AI-agent payment systems risk flattening.
