Oh yeah. It’s borderline hypochondriac disorder (my invention not medicine’s) everywhere you look.

Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo believes his "spirit animal" is a tiger, and that an ex-Navy SEAL-turned-guru unleashed it by walking on the backs of his thighs.

This is medicine's Florida man.

Some conversations are worth revisiting—not because the science has changed, but because fewer families are hearing it clearly.

As questions around newborn vitamin K have resurfaced, here’s what every parent should know about one of medicine’s most effective preventive interventions.

...and the underlying science has been in place since at least 1934 (except in medical schools, which teach their own alternative physics because that's just how medicine's science-cosplaying management class rolls).
The negligent, outdated beliefs of medicine's management class (everywhere; from the UK inquiry here) contrasted with well-understood science from 👉1934👈. If you got sick after being told that COVID falls to the ground within 3 feet and N95/FFP2/FFP3 respirators aren't needed, 👉it was their fault.👈

Pediatrics is becoming medicine’s largest skeleton crew
Opinion: Low pay, high pressure, a troubling political landscape — it’s all leading to medical students electing not to pursue pediatrics.

Most of Congress.

Toasters.

Tomorrowland.

Medicine’s attitude towards women.

Paul Rudd.
lets take it the opposite way: what's a thing from your childhood that is more or less identical to how it is now?

Dishwashers and washing machines don't seem to have changed or improved basically at all since the 1990s except for some smart appliance shit superficially added to them
What’s a real thing from your childhood that kids these days would find completely foreign?

Like, how we used to be able to walk right up to the gate to meet our family coming off a flight.

Or how we had to pick a spot to meet at the theater BEFORE we went.

For decades, the biomedical industry has relied on a compound in horseshoe crab blood to protect medical equipment from contamination, saving untold human lives.

But conservationists say modern medicine’s dependence on this bloodletting is upending a globe-spanning ecosystem.
These crabs probably saved your life. Can we save theirs?
The medical world relies on horseshoe crab blood in the production of vaccines and equipment. A synthetic is available, but companies have been slow to adopt it.

The Patients Who Already Knew

Long COVID did not create medicine’s discomfort with invisible illness. It exposed a preexisting pattern that millions of patients had been navigating for decades.

Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome ( #ME/CFS), fibromyalgia, dysautonomia, POTS — these

The doctor leans on his arm, eyes heavy with thought.
The foxglove symbolizes medicine's reach and its limited ability to address human suffering.

Y'know who else was pathologically averse to vaccine mandates and government intrusion of all kinds? The Americans who implemented them.

But after burying generations of their children and helping yet more generations strap on leg braces after polio, etc, they leapt at medicine's miracle cure
Trump's plan to defund schools that require vaccinations of any kind is not just a plan to kill children, it's a plan to kill them horrifically & painfully, and leave countless more scarred and disabled for life
the media devoted hours of airtime to covering a totally fictional, invented "Trump's new soulful, unifying tone" story and won't devote any airtime to covering Trump's plan to kill children.

To be very clear - the Commission on Human Medicine's number one reason for stating puberty blockers are "unsafe" was the speculated impact on "gender and sexuality maturation" and the idea they are making "homosexual in nature" children trans rather than gay.

Bigotry wrapped up in nonsense.
The Commission on human medicine has released their report on the puberty blocker ban. And we have spotted this
