#memoirists
Can't code, but I can recollect my 19th century memoirists.
You can never tell when being an English major might be useful. Like during an interview when a hot and talented actor can't remember who wrote a book he's referencing and you can just spit out, "Thomas De Quincey."

Always tempted to write a proper literary biography of one of the greatest (if oft-uncredited) screenwriters and memoirists of her time
Born on October 21, 1956, Carrie Fisher sadly passed away on December 27, 2016.

She always understood the assignment.

In fairness to nature memoirists, there are some that take pains to not generalise their own journey as some panacea, & that even explicitly lay out structural, systemic problems that need solving. There are radical, progressive nature memoirs, for sure

In general, if you know any nonfiction writers (memoirists, journalists, essayists) struggling with the brass tacks aspects of this business, this is the class for them (is my aspiration, anyway) … Anyone willing to share this listing with others who’d maybe be interested, thanks so much!!!

There were far too many creative Jacksonville and North Florida authors to mention—from novelists and memoirists to poets and comic creators. So on their behalf and mine, thank you for giving us space to share our work.

Why I’m teaching this class: I found that pitching was one of the hardest skills to master, as a nonfiction writer. I am going to do this two-session craft seminar for memoirists, journalists, and everyone in between … my hope is we can together demystify pitching itself some …

Memoirists?
There are growing block theorists for time; are there any shrinking block theorists?

The block loses segments as time passes?

Book people are fucking weird about Dungeon Crawler Carl.

"It is pandering to millenial nerds"

No shit. It is not supposed to be some memoirists exploration of the themes of emotional openness through the lens of unhealed trauma.

Just let shit be fun sometimes. People like Marvel movies too.
