On my early morning walk, I saw oddly extravagant monkey-monsters of Liverpool’s Menlove Avenue, brazen synapse-numbing bird-lovers writing tunes for mobile phones, Horatio Happycat esquire, motiveless hummingbirds petrified of pink drainpipe trousers, and plebeian rug monsters.
