I have the almost 500 pg epic collection.
We'll have to agree on messterpiece-- it has moments but it never stitches together 3 consecutive great comics. Canceled after its best issue (and the first 10 issues are--oof).
I loved it when I was younger.

For Killraven I will coin the term “Messterpiece,” because those are amazing comics. I stumbled across a trade collection recently and enjoyed them on re-read. Don is one of the most underrated writers in comics.

I have never heard the term messterpiece and it is a word I have needed for a long time.

I know Honor Among Thieves exists, and it's very good, but my eyes are focused entirely on this messterpiece and its utter failure to be camp, cult, or classic

I honestly don't remember this. I know he was on the Soupy Sales Show. Alice is local, grew up only a couple dozen miles away. Nodda huge fan but basically a good guy with some problems, obviously! 'Eighteen' is a decadent messterpiece.

I know people (Joe Dante included) have Big Feelings about the incompleteness of it all, but to me Explorers is one of those movies that every child should see.

omg I LOVE that podcast. I don’t know if By the Book is still available anywhere - I think it’s been replaced by Hot Messterpiece Theater but the old By the Book stuff might be at the back of the feed still. The special interest is the fault of that podcast via Maintenance Phase

Total messterpiece. Crazy ass game, interesting narrative and fun random shit. But... the framerate in later areas is abysmal and actually tanked my enjoyment of the game. A fun, hot mess.
