Like, it makes sense when you think about the metaverse, and how people were legit trying to sell 'digital avatars' and 'virtual meetings in an online, 3d space' as revolutionary new things when those were things we've been doing in WoW for literally 20 years.

Facebook's attempt at making a metaverse failed because it looked like ass and it failed to consider what people would want out of a metaverse. I feel like the same's going to happen to Epic given what they've been talking about with their Verse language

Unlike cryptocurrency, the metaverse, and NFTs, I think there are use cases for LLMs, some of which are probably even worth the compute that they take.
Trying to jam it into every fucking thing and assure use that it is THE future though... I look forward to the bubble popping/deflating.
