"People are only friendly when they want something from you."

As an introvert, Mhin avoids socializing unless absolutely necessary 🔪 It's a miracle they opened up to Kuras at all!

#indiegame #indiedev #touchstarvedgame

“People are only friendly when they want something from you.” Dislikes Ais: Doesn’t know Ais well, but hates that everyone likes him despite the terrible things he does. Likes/dislikes Leander: Takes jobs from Leander. Would like him more if he shut up sometimes. Close with Kuras: Mhin’s only friend. As much as Mhin wants to trust him, they're afraid of being hurt. Or worse. Dislikes Vere: Hunters that occasionally clash. Vere’s the embodiment of everything Mhin hates about Monsters.

“Acquaintances are merely friends you haven't shared a drink with yet.”

Leander gets along with everyone and he's extra frisky when drinks are involved 🍻 Despite his popularity, he doesn't have any close friends...

#indiegame #indiedev #touchstarvedgame

Leander - “Acquaintances are merely friends you haven't shared a drink with yet.” Like/Dislikes Ais: Rivals by day, drinking buddies by night. The murder attempts are funny…until they’re not. Likes Kuras: Admires him professionally, but has never convinced him to get dinner in five years. Likes Mhin: Finds their hostility cute. Constantly searches for new ways to fluster them. Likes Vere: Sees him as a damsel in need of saving. Wishes Vere would pay attention to him.

ohhhhh i think i remember these relationship charts like...wayyy in the beginning around when the demo first came out, i honestly don't remember if i locked the mhin->leander like to dislike arrow deep in my brain, or if it's a coincidence that i literally have a thing written about it lol 😂

+Leander section

Once the door closes, an immediate silence covers the room. Nao stays by the door, a single hand still lightly gripping the handle.
They have their eyes closed, and lean just a tad bit towards the door, almost resting their head against it.
The seconds pass as Mihn merely watches them, until finally, Nao leans back an exhales a breath, then letting go of the handle and opening their eyes.

"I expected so."

They turn to Mhin, and smile.

"We're the same."

Mhin doesn't know what they're referring to, nor how to respond. But Nao seems to expect this and quickly adds on, "With Leander, you like him."
...
"You want to trust him, but you can't."

I do wonder just what it took for Mhin to open to Kuras at all? I hope I get an answer to that question in the game 😄

a drawing of a character-- my oc, keiji-- sitting at a window, looking out of it with a mixture of a grim and bored expression in his eyes. outside it is snowing heavily, and there is a single lamp outside which illuminated part way to the woods in the back. the window is covered in frost, and in grunge red text it says "Day 12. Resident Evil"

Keiji is dressed in a black jacket with a white button up and a black thermal peeking out over the button up. his pants are a grey-ish blue and he wears calf high boots. there's a gun holstered at his side facing away from the window

a drawing of two ocs-- verlin (owned by me) and kelsier (owned by @/faerieliights-- sitting shoulder to shoulder in a classroom, verlin is leaning forward with his face resting in his hands. he seems really focused on something in front of him and is closest to the camera.

kelsier is not paying attention, and rather is looking at verlin with a fond smile but is partially covering it by leaning into his hand

a illustration of a woman with a mask, she smiles gently as from her mask is a bright pink star that illuminates from the eye. at the bottom of the card it says "devotion"

a drawing of mhin from touchstarved, but their appearance is different. their white hair bleeds into black inky feathers on the bottom. they cover their face with their hands, their fingers are spread and it lets their eyes peek through. their eyes are a beady and visceral red, their hands are scaled and tough like the leather of bird legs. something black and inky drips down their face and onto their chest, but their chest too is a dark void, with the bones of their ribs and sternum poking out.

the moon glimmers behind them out of focus, making their hair glow a little bit.
