Christmas Eve game night was almost ruined this year because everyone forgot to bring dice! But in a true MacGyver moment, I pulled two micro:bits from my purse (yes, I do carry micro:bits in my purse), I quickly programmed two dice on my phone, and saved the day. The family was blown away!

Today's @microbit.org project is a night light 💡. It uses the light sensors on the micro:bit to measure light level and turn on the light when it gets dark.

Gave the Micro:Bits out this morning and told my class I'd programmed them to be maths assistants and if they whispered into it 'help me please tiny maths machine' and held both buttons down then it would scan their work and help them do it. Took them ages.

This afternoon we explored coding using micro:bits! We loved learning to use them and managed to create the flashing heart ❤️

My student and I built this crane using @strawbees.bsky.social and two radio-controlled micro:bits. The biggest challenge was keeping my student still while he was wearing the armband. His excitable cheers and dances really put the crane through its paces! @microbit.org #STEM #EdTech #Edusky
