Joseph George designed a portable, ATmega328-powered fluid management device designed to make bottle filling faster, more consistent, and less wasteful for small-scale businesses.
Microcontroller Based Portable Fluid Management Device
The Portable Fluid Management Device is a designed to dispense precise quantities of liquid with minimal manual intervention. By Joseph George.

Build an ADS-B receiver for less than you think

If you've ever wondered about the planes flying overhead, you can always listen to ADS-B transmissions to learn more about them. built a rig to do that, and it comes in under $50 in parts. The build is based on the Meshnology W12 board, which…

If you've ever wondered about the planes flying overhead, you can always listen to ADS-B transmissions to learn more about them. built a rig to do that, and it comes in under $50 in parts. The build is based on the Meshnology W12 board, which combines an ESP32-S3 microcontroller with an LR2021 LoRa radio. The latter is capable of being tuned into transmissions in the 1090 MHz range and it can capture ADS-B traffic that uses OOK and Manchester coding.

I needed something to focus my energy on tonight. I opened up my series 2 Savi's Workshop hilt. These were introduced about 3 weeks ago. The updated electronics are backwards compatible with older blades and crystals, but it also supports a newer, WS2812 based blade for smoother and cooler effects.

Aleksei Tertychnyi turned a Seeed Studio XIAO SAMD21 and a MOSFET into an adjustable low-side linear regulator, with no op-amp in the loop.
MCU-based adjustable (via UART) LDO
Most linear regulators hide a precise analog loop inside: a reference, an error amplifier, and a pass transistor. This project replaces the reference and error amplifier with a $5 microcontroller. A S...

Inside the Gorenje - Diehl NGPS10 C/1 washing machine: RL78, LinkSwitch-TN, triacs and Metalflex sen
A teardown of the Gorenje Diehl Controls NGPS10 C/1 washing-machine module reveals a microcontroller-based controller rather than a mechanical programme timer. The double-sided board combines an RL78/G13 MCU, LinkSwitch-TN power supply, HC595 shift registers, ULN2003A drivers and logic-triggered triacs with relays and an Alps rotary encoder. The Renesas R5F100FE RL78/G13 is a 44-pin MCU with 64 KB programme Flash, 4 KB data Flash and 4 KB RAM, running up to 32 MHz. The wiring harness includes a DA077 door lock, 0–3000 Pa Metalflex ST-545 analogue pressure sensor, HD505 mechanical pressure switch, EMI filter and dual solenoid valve. An unidentified chip marked “1MT 1083” remains unresolved; dated sensor and module labels place the appliance’s components in February–March 2014. Full article on the elektroda homepage.
