The Microcord is working, mostly. I got 11 frames on this roll, the semi-auto winding-stop mechanism cut in early between 10 and 11 so I lost a frame. I've been running a scrap film through occasionally and its getting better.

So the Tempweave and Microcord Armor both give a possible +5 to AC. But Microcord is split 2/3 for static vs Dex Cap while Tempweave is 1/4. So if your character is Trained in light armor and has a +3 to Dex, Microcord would likely be better for you.

Orange komboloi, prototype, I wanted to test the microcord at 1.18 mm and I think it's a bit too fiddy for komboloi, so I'll wait to get some 2 mm microcord to see if that's any better. Logi Maus for scale.

There's another camera at Werkstatt Phil, an MPP Microcord twin lens reflex. It's a bit rough and the slow shutter speeds are very slow/stop. I'll do my usual cleaning the lenses best I can and give it a run at some point.

I was recently tasked with documenting the property of a couple that have both passed on. Intelligent creatives, published authors & artists. Their daughter guided me-lovely woman. As I was leaving, she got up & gifted me these old cameras. What a lovely gesture & yes, I will use them. #/photography
A photo of 2 old film cameras. A Minolta X-300 and a Microcord TLR (Twin lens Reflex) The Minolta was manufactured in the 1980's and the Microcord was made in the 1950's. Interestingly, there is a roll of film in this camera and I can see that 5 frames have been shot. I'll finish shooting the roll and see what those 5 frames contain. If indeed, they contain anything.

How would you feel about those handles if you wrapped them? You could use microcord paracord and French hitching to add a fun ribbed spiral down the handle OR West Country Whipping for a more traditional ribbed grip.

I did this on my Xacto knife handles and it was an instant game changer.

only down 27% after running for 4 days, so almost 7% a day

spent a few minutes to weave a quick little harness out of microcord (100lb strength), now the case can be hung somewhere

lotsa options for folks, maybe swap to a green tube and yeet it up a tree, etc

I don’t do much paracord stuff anymore but it does still come in very handy as I continue to build up my digicam collection. got bad boy a couple of weeks ago and have been really enjoying its laser gun sounds. This lanyard is a new style where the microcord is tied into the regular stuff, I like it

Made myself yet another string of worry beads/κομπολόι with some materials from my bead stash

“tiger ebony” wood (most likely persimmon wood) & bone beads strung on purple microcord
A handmade string of worry beads (κομπολόι) The loop is composed of 24 “tiger ebony” wood beads which are mostly black and dark brown but with occasional streaks & spots of lighter brown & 5 spacer beads made from bone & are slightly yellowed and translucent with age The ends are tied and twisted together & accented with addition tiger ebony & bone beads

There's actually a roll of film in the Microcord - I can see that there are 5 frames shot. I'll pop off the rest and get it developed then. There may be nothing there because the film inside is very old.

This is provided the nylon cord texture doesn’t cause you to overstim, of course. Microcord or nanocord are the ones I’ve had the most luck with when it comes to avoiding that.

Nanocord is harder to buy locally, but Paracord Planet has free shipping on single spools.

I'm basing the character I'm playing on a vague half remembered voice I have in my head and I can't remember where it's from.
