I have deep roots in Flash Animation and miss it greatly, but Adobe is dead to me and I dislike Blender's 2D tools, so I've been digging around for a middleground.

Going from more realistic (1) to chibi (3).
I aim for middleground (2) as it reflects my personal style.
But all three are fun and worthwile to draw.

A phenomenon I've noticed recently is people trying to occupy some untenable middleground wrt to the use of systems sold as "AI" -- this is a position where people try to recognize the harms of this tech but also hold space for "responsible" or "ethical" use.

Been a solid minute since I sat down to these guys, but have been wanting to find a middleground I'm happy with between the classic Alien xeno design and the Isolation one. I think it's pretty there. Anyway, WIP xenomorph commission!

Studio heads should seriously learn that, if they're going to answer a question that's related to serious real-world topics, they should either be fully straightforward about their views on it, or not say anything because that middleground response that could make everyone happy doesn't exist.

When I talk to comic book artists I always emphasize the importance of clearly separating their planes of depth. This rule is only for comics and does not apply to Turkish photographer Sami Uçan.
