Outside of Chicago, on the grounds of a former armory, decades ago an alliance of various orgs began restoring the prairie, and at Midewin Tallgrass Prairie they imported bison to roam the prairie once more. I love to visit my very large bi sons 💚🦬

Like many others in the last few weeks, my heart has been full of dread and my head full of anxious thoughts.

if you are into prairies, and in the Midwest /IL, I highly recommend the Midewin Tallgrass Prairie, which has many bison! I love my large bi son!!

just as a bit of personal motivation, reminding all of us that we can go see bison roam a prairie in Illinois at Midewin (not that far from Chi area!!) I gotta get out there this year. My bi sons miss me, I'm sure of it 🦬💚
