With various injuries in midfield, 18 year old Matthew Edward has been starting for Omiya Ardija in recent games. Lots of physical/athletic tools but actual output (like passing) still needs to appear. Compelling.

I also agree with Matt that Lilli Ives Campion continues to excel. My only complaint with her is that she perhaps lacks a bit of heft for the pushing matches and midfield attrition, and England sorely miss Ward and Stratford. By contrast Talling has the heft but for me, not quite enough of the rest.

Yeah was tough for his age (in a more aggressive era), loved a tackle, got round pitch well & great passing range. Proper Midfield General in the making. We’ve got Armstrong in there now & need to look after him.
