I am.... so incredibly bad at using this website.... here's an embroidery I finished in like May. It's silk floss on silk dupioni, which was really lovely to work with! Reference image was the OST cover for Millenium Actress

An imaginative drama that doesn't require you to be an anime fan to enjoy. It's well made and well written. Satoshi Kon was fantastic; sad he had to go too soon. The movie is less lighthearted than the colorful #steelbook might suggest.

Top 3 #anime for June. The sad month (I cried a lot watching these)
#milleniumactress holy fuck man. Satoshi Kon is still the GOAT.
#given also destroyed me. The sad band gays got me baaaaad fam. I love them so much.

Sure sure, that Robert Eggers guy is okay

but have you experienced true perfection in four movies yet?

Projection spéciale de Sennen joyu (Millenium Actress) au ciné. Ils auraient pu investir dans les affiches et le pamphlet...

Update~ I spilt water on my water soluble stabilizer, so its a little ugly 🥲 but it's nice being able to see the design in context with the bright base fabric. This is a bigger piece, but it feels like it's going faster than usual.
