so KINDA the Millerverse was more like a loose branding initiative, it never really crossed over and it DEFINITELY seemed like it wouldn't really make sense for them to overlap, like there was never actual crossover characters or events part of the Miller-verse is Jupiter's Legacy with ACTUAL supers

It's kinda funny comparing Miller, Romita and Lee's versions of Millerverse Joker.

Miller's original and Romita's younger version are pretty fey. Jim Lee just straight drew normal-ass Joker for ASBAR, and then, for no explained reason, gave him a big ass dragon tattoo on his back.

ASSBAR actually *does* read as a self-pisstake on first glance, but with Crazy Steve still very recognizable in The Dark Knight Strikes Again *and* ASSBAR being an explicit “distant prequel” to the Millerverse, you can see why nobody would take Frank’s word for it
