A style study for this month's work. Converting Kai from Gravity Circuit to an MMX style.

Shoutouts to @domesticatedantgames.com & @dominicninmark.bsky.social for one of the sickest indie games I've ever played.

Volume and Annie are complete! Lot of active learning during this process, but it was fun.

Yet another Volume! This one only took me 4 days this time and is another thing I'm working on (hence the blank background).

Not really an OC. Just decided to try out a watercolor style. It was fun just letting the shape of my mind flow out onto the canvas like this. The experience felt so free, I'll definitely try this again.

Looking back at more older work today on the blog. This one from 16 years ago was the only time I have been asked to illustrate a Mimic. This was for Pathfinder games. RAWR! christopherburdett.blogspot.com/2025/04/a-se... #mimc #monsterart #monsterartist #mimicart #pathfinder #paizo #pathfinderart

Debated posting this because of how simple it is annnnnd I decided that I would. Working on redesigning some OCs starting with Reneé. I will get to Volume at some point after I'm done with a list of others.

Higher quality illustrations are also in the works!

Finally got around to re-designing my first ever OC - Zek Schneider. I'm super emotional about this one, kid me would've never imagined him looking this way.

Rewriting the concept for the story my redesigned characters are in. Annnd I'll learn to actually make backgrounds.

2025 in review for #mimicart! Some of these were done earlier but my workflow and speed have improved.

I've done my best to drastically step up towards the end of last year and I am VERY PROUD of how much work looks, including my WIPs and emotes.

Commissions soon? 👀More art to come in 2026!
