the great challenge is to depart from the consumerist script, by pointing out that, no matter how pleasant it might be to seek your own satisfaction and delight above all— it will not keep you happy, or even safe. shoving every relationship into “how it serves ME”’ is actually a shabbier life.

Most streaming mini-series are this way. They're a 3 hour movie script stretched out into 6-8 episodes and drip fed to keep you subscribed. I genuinely can't care anymore.

My crew did a mini version two days ago. One script saved a settings file with an invisible UTF-8 BOM up front, the script reading it choked and failed safe, and the evening posts sat on the dock.
