MiniUSBはKORG nanoKEY 2などでまだ使われている。MiniUSB、すぐすっぽぬけるし、あまりいいものではない。MiniUSBの機器は発売時期が2000年代とか結構古く、楽器機材くらいであまりないな。
MicroUSBはKORG nanoKEY Studioで使われている。MiniUSBより壊れにくくすっぽぬけにくいが、ラッチが壊れやすい。MicroUSB機器はまだ身近に結構つかってる。

miniUSBはさすがに…とか思ってたら身近に生き残ってたわ…希に使う機会あるから残してあるDVD-RWドライブのケーブルのコネクタがminiUSBだったw

In a tech sense: Proprietary CPU architecture, small hard drives at launch, controller charges via MiniUSB, media features included now-obsolete Sony formats like Memory Stick and ATRAC.
Graphically, still looks modern to me.

back in 2015 i had this windows 8 tablet (x86) that only had one microusb port, but i wanted to of course be able to use a keyboard+mouse AND charge at the same time while gaming

thank you 8K+5K EDID FEEDER + DP ENGINE for allowing me to craft an EDID so my monitor can work at 3440x1440@175Hz over HDMI 2.1 (DP is broken on this monitor :3) using the 7900 XTX's DP connector to circumvent the lack of HDMI 2.1 FRL on Linux

There is zero communication with the button other than closing a circuit. MiniUSB is just the physical plug they used.
