I miscarried twice…once in a toilet.
A 9 week pregnancy is the size of a period clot. I flushed the toilet.

Miscarried is too passive a verb for what happened to these women. ICE killed their unborn children in the womb.

Bittersweet day for me today. The baby I miscarried was due this day 12 years ago. I miscarried in the first trimester, and it was my first brush with motherhood. It shattered me to lose that baby, but the loss made my beautiful firstborn possible.
