A judge threw out a case Trumpers fabricated against respected law enforcement officers today, saying it can't "be described as anything other than weaponization."
The debacle shows how Trump's destroyed the DOJ, and thus the agency's ability to defend Trump's own misconduct, as I discuss in PN.
"Trump set out to assault and gut much of the government to great success, mistakenly believing it would enhance his own power. But Trump’s 'success' in immolating the government he is charged with overseeing also ensured his own failure as a would-be dictator." — @davidrlurie.com

She says she has not made a judicial finding as to whether misconduct occurred, the investigation will determine that.

It's not entirely clear how far back this practice - Roman magistrates regularly being prosecuted for official misconduct - began.

Livy - the best we have here, albeit very limited - clearly assumes this was the practice from the very early republic onward.

I encourage every Alaskan to read AS 15.56, which covers unlawful interference with elections, voter misconduct & campaign misconduct. Not ONE statute criminalizes the bad faith recruiting of candidates to run for office. There. I just finished Dunleavy's horseshit criminal investigation for him.

The President is already a convicted rapist (!!) and there are countless other victims who haven’t gotten any justice or coverage.
