📢 Baby Update:

IV Pitocin started 9:45p.

1cm dilated, thinning naturally, contractions regular, fetal HR fluctuations 131 - 150 bpm.

They're going to let her go without the Misopristol and CB because she is progressing nicely on just the pit dose.

😡 COME AT ME BRO
This is REALLY gonna piss off the forced birth brigade, because misopristol is safe & used worldwide for all kinds of conditions. So banning it will be an uphill battle, but anti-science fuckos love a challenge. Especially when the it's decimating our human right to healthcare.

I heard it on the grapevine that Donald Trump wants to have those he deems "drug dealers" put to death.

Don't get it twisted; he's not referring to shit like cocaine, fentanyl or crystal meth.

He's talking about Mifeprestone. Misopristol. HRT meds.

Fuck Trump and everyone who voted for him.

I mean, if courts can ignore agencies, why would they not take another stab at FDA & mifepristone & misopristol? It’s not a great outlook for any U.S. resident’s health/safety, but esp not for those who can get pregnant.

I appreciate Rep. Travis telling us exactly how to circumvent Bulso's strict liability law against misopristol and other such drugs.

Misoprostol will be locked up in a passcode-protected dispensing system outside of labor and delivery rooms in Ochsner and LCMC hospitals in Louisiana. Modified carts are “not a feasible option” lailluminator.com/2024/09/27/o...

I’d just like to take this opportunity to mention that, as a former pharmaceutical organic chemist, I would be more than able and willing to produce enough Mifepristone and Misopristol in my garage to supply every woman of child bearing age in this county with 5 therapeutic dosages a year.

160 years ago they didn’t have mifepristone or misopristol or d&cs so I assume the traditionalists will agree the AZ abortion law does not apply to those things

Gavin Newsom wants CA to stock up on mifepristone to guard against attacks from Rs. Two years ago, he opted to go for misopristol over mifepristone, because, as his deputy legal affairs sec said at the time, it wasn't in the anti-abortion movement's crosshairs: www.sacbee.com/news/politic...
Gavin Newsom wants California to stock up on abortion pill
The governor said Tuesday that he will propose expanding the California Department of Health Services’ ability to buy brand-name and generic drugs like mifepristone.

It is infuriating how much this has been minimized. Cervical biopsy was the most excruciating pain I've ever felt and I was supposed to be okay with ibuprofen and misopristol (the latter does bupkus for pain but is supposed to make it easier. It did not).

It was plain negligence. If that Er Dr. had given the misopristol when she first arrived, the staff OBGyn could see it wasn’t working. Both of them should have monitored the bleeding closer. Texas law allows for reproductive care for miscarriage. The scan showed no heartbeat. D&C should have been

Today I experienced gender-affirming care (IUD insertion for symptoms of menopause) & used an “abortion drug” (misopristol, to softens the cervix to ease IUD placement).

I’m not sorry if you think that’s TMI. Not talking plainly about women’s health care is partly why we’re in this mess. 1/2

This story is gutting. It's unconscionable that the doctor gave misopristol to a woman with a blood clotting disorder who had already bled so much she needed two blood infusions instead of doing a D&C. And it's bullshit that the hospital won't be transparent about how they treat such cases.
NEW: Porsha Ngumezi is the fifth case we've reported on in which a woman died after not receiving a D&C or its second-trimester equivalent in time, or at all.

Her case raises questions about how abortion bans are pressuring doctors to avoid standard care even in straightforward miscarriages.

the gyno who did my last insertion prescribed misopristol, xanax and vicodin, and it still hurt like a mofo (but then I went home and slept all afternoon). cervical block sounds like the way to go

What is with GOP families? “ the bill’s main author was Louisiana state senator Thomas Pressly, whose sister experienced something genuinely horrifying: while pregnant, she was fed misoprostol without her knowledge by her husband.” futurism.com/neoscope/der...

Raped women won’t get pills through the mail soon. It’s mifepristone today. It’ll be misopristol tomorrow — and the birth control pill (yes! See EPA TESTING GROUNDWATER) after that.
