Last night, Missourians literally laughed in their face — rejecting the measure by a massive 80% to 20%.

Here’s what to know:

Senators Hawley & Schmitt voted to cut Medicaid & SNAP when 1,223,000 Missourians depend on Medicaid, with 40% of births being covered by Medicaid, & 656,600 Missourians depend on SNAP benefits.

They traded the well-being of Missourians for a pat on the head from a felon.

a big day for tens of thousands of Missourians:
A new law restoring voting rights to about 41,000 Missourians with past felony convictions takes effect today, in time to register for November.

Like all states, Missouri disproportionately incarcerates Black residents, meaning that this reform will shift some voting power to Black Missourians.

A new law will restore voting rights for tens of thousands of people on probation and parole. It’s a departure from other GOP bills this session to restrict democracy.

He’s a liar just like the rest of them. Kehoe ran as a “moderate.”

He’s actually an extremist who doesn’t think working Missourians deserve $13.75/hour or earned sick time…even when the voters approved both.

A new ethics report shared with Democracy Docket, revealed that Republicans spent $2.9 million to stymie Missourians’ signature-gathering effort aimed at blocking the GOP’s new congressional gerrymander. But most notably, virtually all of that money went to a political firm with Trump ties.

NEW: For years, Missourians have possessed the constitutional right to a referendum that allows them to veto laws passed by the legislature. Now, they’re laying the groundwork to exercise this right to block the GOP's proposed congressional gerrymander from being enacted.

I am so thrilled to have Jess Piper's endorsement for my campaign. I've known her for almost 6 years now. She is the fiercest fighter I know for Missourians and our rural neighbors across the country. We are building a movement for ALL Missourians. Join us because we're not done yet!
Grateful for my friend @piperformissouri.bsky.social’s endorsement.

Jess is a writer, educator, and relentless advocate for our communities.

Building the coalition it will take to defeat Ann Wagner means bringing people together across Missouri and that is exactly what we are doing. #teamwellman
