def yeah, even with mm3d they didn't immediately go for it or anything and i don't think the switch 2's lineup is going to be hurting for releases or anything like that

Good luck. I bounced from MM3D after about half the game. The folks in my video game crew have some wild swings on that game, there appeared to be a great doctrinal dispute over which version was to be preferred.

their track record of the one other time they did an oot remake indicates they might go "we basically have all the assets already we might as well" although i imagine that was easier to justify because oot3d and mm3d didnt have the Most detailed environments. kinda just model ports with new textures

Then I skipped the Wii U and only got the 3DS and later N3DS XL. It was good but didn't got many games because there weren't many big games aside from Zelda OoT3D Zelda MM3D and few others. Thankfully Nintendo got his groove back during the Switch and (thankfully) continued that on the Switch 2(4/4)

I'm conflicted: on one hand, MM is my favourite game, MM3D proved how easy it is to screw up, and there's no way a remake wouldn't streamline the experience a bit with newbies-friendly qol... On the other hand, I'm a lot more inclined to accept a reimaginative remake over a "definitive" remaster.

I think I'll have a much clearer picture about what to expect with the inevitable MM remake after playing OoTR, and if I like the idea or not. So far, despite being soured by MM3D, I'm fairly optimistic. It will never replace the original, it can't, and I'm ok with that premise.

I'm pretty interested in messing with the OoT remake in terms of speedruns. I was involved with MM3D a good bit when it came out, but didn't stick around long enough to do runs. Being involved in the conversations has been fun so far

there were 4 years between OoT3D and MM3D. if Nintendo remake Majora's Mask I doubt it will be as immediate as people speculate

yeah like mm3d has some stuff with it that i consider to have ruined the port but i still have the base game. and ngl with the creepy-cute doll models i think it could be pretty cool..... [but my naaaame!!111]

mm3d and its permasaves are so tempting even though i think the vibes are worse. my old save of that is left off at the same point as my n64 save, it would be so easy to jump ship. but i mustn’t

For those reading this far, I had 2 Twitter alts. When MM3D blocked me on main, I do remember trying to get a clear answer on one account—cordially. Was trying to see if there was a mistake. He acted like an asshole, so then I was an asshole on the third account when he blocked the second.
