MMZero is one of my favorite action games and it's also very inscrutable up front if you haven't played devil may cry 1 (which is where it swipes basically all its quirks from)

Yeah it's a continuum. MMZero and Hollow Knight definitely have spacing/positioning elements. I think early Souls emphasized positioning more, while Sekiro/Elden Ring emphasize it less.

Reminds me of why I hate pixel smoothing filters in modern re-releases of older games so much. Pixel art is never meant to be smooth. Just take a look at some of these screenshots from the MMZero/ZX Legacy Collection and see how the smoothing filter ends up destroying a lot of visual detail.

Interesting opening choices but a nice chance for these designs to get some merch even if I have SHF MMZero. Def hoping for a Classic or X release just to have a cheaper kit to paint and customize. Koto Megakits are a touch big and pricey.

Dug up my DS to replay Megaman Starforce after hearing the collection announcement. Honestly, after revisiting MMZero and ZX, BattleNetwork, and Classic + X series, I can safely say Starforce is still my favorite MegaMan hands down. Love Geo and Omega-Xis as well as HarpNote.
