I have come to believe that mostpeople vote only for change or stasis/nostalgia. They do not pay much attention to what is changing or the way things might stay the same.

this feels like a weird take. harris lost to trump and the party has gone through great lengths to bury her as The Worst Candidate Ever (TM). even assuming name recognition and leftover goodwill, mostpeople still see her as a continuation of the Biden presidency most people despise
I don’t think AOC is all that likely to win a D primary, especially if Harris runs, but 1) it’s not impossible and 2) she’ll be on the VP shortlist for almost every candidate regardless
