IF you are disabled enough to be eligible for a Motability car AND you are on certain means-tested benefits, THEN the Motability CHARITY can provide a grant for driving lessons

Why is Kemi Badenoch repeating the lie that people with ADHD qualify for a Motability car? I have moderate cerebral palsy. I haven’t qualified for a Motability car since 2018. I also have ADHD. Only those on the higher rate of the Mobility Component of PIP qualify for a Motability car. #CPC25

a) UK armed forces are in a state
b) UK spends more than its peers to get less
c) Treasury (IMV rightly) distrusts the present political leadership of MOD to improve b) and is therefore reluctant to spend more money

It is perfectly easy to report Motability accurately - the PIP mobility scoring framework is freely available online and shows that you can't get Motability cars *just* through mental illness, and only with the most severe cognitive or learning disabilities, without additional physical issues

Motability does not help you buy a car, #R4Today - it helps eligible people lease a vehicle. I pay a hefty deposit on my son’s wheelchair-adapted van, plus monthly payments from his disability benefits. Without it, he would be literally trapped in my house. Motability is essential.
