#mountainoffice
Making mischief in the Great Salt Lake with the Utah Historical Society this morning. I’ve done many a hammock #MountainOffice, #DesertOffice, and one #LakeOffice (on a boat in Utah Lake), but I’ve never done a #LakeOffice literally sitting in a lake. 🤣

1st #MountainOffice hammock of the season. I couldn’t do many last year. Hopefully many more in 2025. A bit breezy & chilly this AM, but the PM should be glorious! Reading a super fun book and prepping author interview questions for my @writingwestward.bsky.social Podcast. New episode on Monday.

Inaugural hammock #MountainOffice of the season to finish off the pile of awards and funding application judging and ranking. The local avian population doesn’t seem to be thrilled about my presence though. 🤷‍♂️

Another book to read & interview to prep for my @writingwestward.bsky.social podcast & my schedule finally allowed for a #MountainOffice day. 1st in a year! Slightly concerned about the hawk who showed up after I set up (didn’t notice the nest above me) & has been dive bombing my hammock. 😬

Had big mountain adventure plans today but had to settle for a #mountainoffice day, reading a book and prepping an interview for my Writing Westward Podcast (www.writingwestward.org). First hammock day in a while. Maples are starting to pop red. Unexpected rain threatening…hoping it holds off. 🗃️📗

Haven’t don’t a hammock #MountainOffice for a while, so I was pumped to join my archaeology colleague and friend @michael.searcy on Utah Lake for an inaugural #LakeOffice today. Time to find out if we get seasick reading and writing on our laptops in the waves. 😵‍💫🤣
