Check out the talk by my amazing grad student, Ian Ghezzi, this morning at #ASH2024. Using a novel mouse model, he’s been able to identify a rare population of dormant JAK2-mutant HSCs that drive disease propagation and therapy resistance in MPNs.

MPNs are myeloproliferative neoplasms. They cause your blood to do funky things it shouldn’t be doing, with greater or lesser degrees of impact on daily life. They’re hard to diagnose and often missed – but diagnoses is important because treatment and monitoring prevent a lot of nasty complications

Come check out work by star resident Leah Goldberg this evening focused on outcomes in IDH1/2m MPN-AP/BP! This is a mutational cohort that may have better outcomes within the high risk entity of advanced MPNs!

Thanks to all co-authors in this collab to define outcomes in this population #ASH24
