My birthday was last week and a close friend of 35 years gave me these awesome paperback Marvel books. He’s a book collector (mostly old sci-fi) but knows Spider-Man and Marvel are my jam. Most thoughtful gift I’d received in years.

It's from the cover to one of the first Marvel novels.

Ha! Thanks for the scoop. I think I’ll read Crime Campaign next, since it is kiiiiiind of connected to the one I did read (Murdermoon). I’m interested to meet another love of Peter Parker… Cindy Sayers. But I’ll knock out the FF book shortly after that to get it out of the way. 👍

I have, indeed, seen and read a bunch of these. Mayhem in Manhattan, Holocaust for Hire, Doomsday, Crime Campaign, The Man Who Stole Tomorrow, and Murdermoon in the last couple of years. (I may have read one or two of the others as a kid but don’t remember.) By and large, they’re pretty bad!
