W wyniku tych zdarzeń zginęło około 5 700 osób, a 8 500 zostało rannych w 29 państwach i terytoriach. Dane przedstawił podczas konferencji prasowej w Genewie Altaf Musani, dyrektor jednostki WHO ds. humanitarnych i zarządzania kryzysowego. Dyrektor generalny WHO Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wielokrotnie podkreślał, że placówki ochrony zdrowia nigdy nie powinny być celem ataków. Altaf Musani przypomniał, że ośrodki medyczne i cały system ochrony zdrowia są chronione przez międzynarodowe prawo humanitarne, prawa człowieka oraz konwencje genewskie.
