🐁🎨 - day 27: deadmau5 - Professional Griefers (f. Gerard Way)
I enjoy deadmau5, although they're a little too harsh for my tastes sometimes. Professional Griefers is angry, and a song about escaping and fighting oppression. A song about change.

🐁🎨 - day 01: pink floyd - the wall
i think it's impossible to state how much pink floyd influenced my music tastes growing up. there's a lot of choices, but "the trial" is a culmination of the themes of the album, with the final part tearing down the wall

🐁🎨 - day 09: talking heads - this must be the place
talking heads made a very simple love song, that is the absolute bare bones of their style, and it's beautiful. peaceful. hopeful. calm.
one of the greatest love songs ever written? talking heads' best work?

🐁🎨 - day 15: Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata
I always dreamed of playing this on a piano. i always loved mvt 1 the most.
and then it was playing when firefox was put to sleep.

🐁🎨 - day 02: daft punk - instant crush
my most played song in itunes. Daft Punk and Julian Casablancas create a beautiful love song about duty; a story about things we can never have, but feel responsible to protect or help. i will always stop to sing to this.

🐁🎨 - day 25: Disasteradio - Gravy Rainbow
Gravy Rainbow is honestly one of my favorite songs. It's short, punchy, catchy, the music video is just WEIRD, it's great. Disasteradio released the album pay what you want as well! They're good electronic music

🐁🎨 - day 08: Rocket Knight Adventures - Stage 3
Chiptunes are good music too! Rocket Knight Adventures absolutely left a lot of impressions on young mouse. I didn't beat it until college, but I tried regularly to. Sparkster's design likely influenced my art.

🐁🎨 - day 05: they might be giants - we want a rock
this was the first album i ever bought. blame tiny toons. but honestly this entire album is good. the b-side is full of experimental songs. the a-side is all catchy bangers. (tmbg's best album?)

🐁🎨 - day 07: mystery skulls - ghost
i love indie cartoon music videos like this! ghost is an ear worm - it's a shame after this album mystery skulls changed their music style, but hey, whatever. artists can make what they want to. still a great song tho

🐁🎨 - day 21: TWRP - Starlight Brigade (feat. Dan Avidan)
Dan Avidan's voice is sublime. TWRP is one of the funkiest bands on the planet. Their combinations are incredible songs.
Starlight Brigade's about becoming a hero, and the fight against Evil.

🐁🎨 - day 31: Lemon Demon - Reaganomics
We're gonna end it how we always end it.
This album, "Spirit Phone", is all good. Very Weird Al and TMBG. Alternative Alternative Rock. Reaganomics is a song making fun of Ronald Reagan and the right. And it's a fucking jam.

🐁🎨 - day 06: bo burnham - all eyes on me
every millennial should watch "inside" by bo burnham. the entire special is a cry out against the world that has fucked us over so much. the album is sad, angry, frustrated, funny, emotional, and hashtag me_irl. watch it!!

🐁🎨 - day 04: the moody blues - hole in the world / under my feet
we grow up exposed to our parents music. i remember sitting in the basement, big headphones on, listening to my father's old LPs, daydreaming.
a year ago i asked if they still had them. no. a shame.

🐁🎨 - day 28: Astrophysics & Hatsune Miku - Bizarre Love Triangle
Astrophysics has two albums of covers, using Miku. They're both pretty fantastic, and good gateway albums into Astrophysics' main lineup of electronic.
(also Instant Crush is on this album)

🐁🎨 - day 14: Beck - Colors
I have to admit I haven't heard much Beck. This song fucking slaps, though. And the album's good too.
The music video is also really neat! Great choreography!
the song itself is about human connection and wanting it. and its problems.

🐁🎨 - day 13: Primus - Wynona's Big Brown Beaver
i first heard this song as an anime music video set to tenchi muyo, focusing on ryo-ohki.
primus is insane, but in a good way. the song is very yeehaw, and so's the video, but it's a bop, and its lyrics are sharp.

🐁🎨 - day 20: Dan Deacon - Woof Woof
my mother would HATE woof woof.
i tend to like music that builds up into large, almost cacophonous crescendos. woof woof does that twice.
the song itself is a love song. it's about letting your anxieties go and just being free.
