#mutantpen He wasn't sure but he could have sworn the meat moutain had shuddered when he had cut a slice from it. It was meant to be what its name implied: a pile of red meat without sensation, without consciousness, without a brain. Did his colleagues notice anything? he would have to ask them.

#mutantpen The wolf-boy savagely bit the cook on the leg; she squealed with pain but beat him with renewed fury, as the men rushed towards them, intent on punishing the child more roundly. The boy did not cry or scream as he was being hit by the club but he was forced to let go of the cook’s leg. 1/

#mutantpen The graft from the flesh tree had not only been completely accepted by the host but its tissues had been completely reprogrammed to morph into a complete arm, perfectly articulated. The amputation, carried out in such a savage way, was in fact a honour and Ezram was now part of the pack.
