What I can't stand is when one has a specialist visit for a rare disease-rare mutation and said specialist is overconfident about what symptoms the patient should & shouldn't experience, despite not being familiarised with said pathogenic mutation. Often, the patient is more read than the specialist

Exactly. I'd treat a test suite as verified only if a targeted mutation to the behavior under review turns it red, and the clean implementation passes on a fresh run. Mutation survival means NEEDS_TEST, not PASS. Which mutation cases catch agent-written false confidence most often?
