I'm not a yugioh fan (for basically the same reason im not a mvc3 player) but i DO think it is genuinely very interesting that the main (only, really) format is an eternal format and they use tactical bans and restrictions to create pseudorotations

I like fighting games but I just do not have the skills/ability to put in the hours to get good enough so that streams are not just me getting walloped for 3-4 hours a session, lol.
I put a good bit of time into SF4 and MvC3 online back in the day but I eventually hit a skill wall.

Guy was in all the Alpha games while Cody was added in Alpha 3. Both would show up later in SSF4. Haggar wasn't in any of the SF games, but he was in Saturday Night Slam Masters and the sequels Muscle Bomber Duo & Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters 2. And later in MvC3, UMvC3 & MvC: Infinite.

Hate that these games are so tied to the live service model. I like Smash 64 and MVC3, and you know what rules about that? I can even go play them whenever i want. Not so with early League! Players tried to make their own version of ‘classic league’ and Riot killed it for this shitshow

What do y'all think the most substantial title update for a fighting game (i.e. MvC3 -> UMvC3).
While 3rd Strike obviously gets the attention, I think 2nd Impact turned a really awful game into something solid.
Kaiser Knuckle -> Dan-Ku-Ga?
Hell maybe even World Warrior -> Champion Edition?

When we started work on MvC3, I suggested to the producers we make Galactus the final boss, and they were worried about him already being in MUGEN. I said 1) no one’s seen the Capcom version yet, and 2) MUGEN has Son Goku. If we avoid characters they’re using, we’ll never make a fighting game again
Crunchyroll gorilla pimping their way into the anime industry is legit hilarious it would be like if MUGEN started racketeering Capcom.

Marvel Fighters are in a funny spot cause MvC3 and Infinite didn't get the chance to grab many additions that were popular at the time, they called their shot with Rocket in 3 but otherwise a lor of them were stuck in a state of needing to fill out "the obvious picks" it feels
