The fact that we got remakes of MvDK and TTYD rather than DK94 and PM64 actually makes a lot of sense. These were the last times these series used their og gameplay formulas, so they can expand upon them in the next game rather than leaving behind what these entries added after their predecessors.

As the Nintendo Classics library develops I just really appreciate that Nintendo seemingly doesn't blacklist certain games for potentially gutting sales of their respective remakes available for market on the eshop. It's cool that these original games are made available too!

Oh and I just noticed that the MvDK animations are a part of this too meaning that they’re including the promotional animations for spin-offs, so yeah, we’ll probably be getting RPG content in some form on this app fairly soon.

in the likely event there's a new MvDK game, I don't think they'd ever touch a kidnapping plot ever again. So I think they'll lean into DK's old prankster side, trying to antagonize Mario in a lighthearted manner just to get some yuks. a real big lug
and preferably no giant mechs (sorry to say)
